2023 Year In Review

Happy New Year! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed some downtime over the holidays.

2023 was my first full year in business and as such, I didn’t have many expectations for it. Honestly, a lot of what happened this year has been so unexpected! I thought it’d be fun to do a little year-in-review today where I share stats from the past year.

I put together some images and graphs to make visualizing easier. Here we go.

Cosite 2023 Year in Review

Whew! That was a lot. I’m so grateful to all of the clients I got to collaborate with, the projects we got to build, and the amazing people in my life who have helped make it possible. As you can see from the graphs, most of my work has come from referrals so I really could not have done all of this without other people.

Something that shocked me when I put this together was how drastically inconsistent my income was month-to-month. Also how many projects I actually did this year! In my head, for some reason, I thought it was 5 or 6, but I did 10 projects.

A goal for this next year is to hopefully make my work a bit more consistent to avoid the slight panic that ensued a few times when I realized I had finished a project and didn’t have anything else lined up!

Maybe this past year was what you expected. Maybe it wasn’t. Something I love about the 1st of the year is that it gives us a chance to reflect and think about how we want things to be moving forward. A chance to let go of the things we need to let go of from the past year and hold tighter to the things we want to bring into the new year.

What’s Next?

A goal I set in the last newsletter was to acquire one more monthly subscription client and not only did I accomplish that, I have 5 new projects on the books for this year already.

I’m also excited to start teaching again this month, this time doing live lectures! Something I’m simultaneously excited and nervous about. As we are with all the best things in life.

Moving forward, I’m going to move this newsletter to a quarterly basis. Thanks for reading in 2023 and I’m excited to share this new year with you.
